A Week in Care – Smiles, Support, and Community"

A Week in Care Management: Celebrating Connection, Care & Community

As the week draws to a close, we're reflecting on another rewarding and fulfilling few days here in care management. From joyful celebrations to quality time with our residents, family interactions, and important professional visits — it's been a busy and beautiful week!

Monday was Bank Holiday. Our week began with smiles as many of our residents enjoyed spending time out in the community, making the most of the long weekend. We connected with family members during our regular Family Wellbeing Calls, which always bring warmth and reassurance. We also welcomed family visitors into our homes — a truly special way to start the week

Tuesday was all about deepening individual connections. We conducted our Wellbeing Checks, ensuring every client felt heard, supported, and valued. Some residents enjoyed one-to-one time with staff, including a bit of shopping — a great way to promote independence and engagement. We also carried out internal audits to maintain our high standards of care and compliance. A highlight of the day was a visit from Howard — always a pleasure to see familiar, friendly faces! And two of our clients chose to visit the cinema, embracing choice and independence in how they spend their time.

Midweek was full of activity! Our lovely hairdresser, Mel, visited, bringing fresh hairstyles and even fresher smiles. We hosted viewings for prospective clients at both Lee Mount and Park View, showcasing the warm and welcoming environments we offer. Documentation updates and enquiries kept our team busy behind the scenes, while our clients took part in light exercise sessions, promoting physical wellness and mobility. Ongoing maintenance work, both indoors and outdoors, ensured our environment remains safe, functional, and homely.

Thursday was productive and wholesome. Our team diligently completed both weekly and monthly audits, ensuring we remain compliant and care-focused. Out in the garden, we harvested more plums from our tree — the season’s bounty will soon be transformed into delicious homemade plum jam. A simple yet delightful way to bring joy to our community! Throughout the day, we welcomed several professional visitors, continuing our collaborative approach to holistic care.

We wrapped up the week with energy and celebration. This morning, we received more professional visits, keeping our care connections strong and consistent. A special moment today was celebrating Bet’s birthday — a joyful occasion shared by staff and residents alike. And of course, no Friday would be complete without our beloved “Fishy Friday” tradition — a comforting and delicious end to the week!

As always, we are grateful for the opportunity to care for and support our residents in such a vibrant and compassionate environment. Each week brings new opportunities for connection, laughter, and growth — and we can’t wait to see what next week has in store.

Stay tuned for more updates from the heart of care.
