I used to love going dancing and knitting. I was social when younger and enjoyed getting dressed up and going out. I liked holidays in Blackpool and Scarborough also; I have always liked the coast. I was brought up catholic, but I don’t follow the religion now.
Previous Job
I used to work at a local mill in the evenings, and once I got older, I worked in M&S; I enjoyed my work and have fond memories.
Favourite Band/Artist
I like all the older classics. I didn’t have a particular favourite. I like to explore new music.
Favourite Food
I like fish and chips the most and jam rolly poly. I hate pasta!

Oh, I don’t know, Titanic I’ll say Titanic.

I like to knit or sew on occasion. I like to read paper and watch TV to catch up on the news. I’m very chatty and opinionated and like to be able to express myself. I still love animals and children as they bring me joy.

I don’t like argumentative people.

I got pregnant at a young age, but I wouldn’t change this for the world.
Background Info
I was born in Manchester, but I was moved to Blackpool during the bombings and stayed at my Grandma’s sister’s house. I liked it in Blackpool a lot. I went to school but would often sneak out to do dancing; I didn’t like school; I was married twice and had my daughter. I eventually moved to Hebden Bridge to be closer to her. I liked animals and owned a cat. As I got older, I preferred my own space.

I was born in Africa. We lived close to an airport and would love to watch them pass by. I met my wife, Faisa, in Nigeria. We loved to go on safaris and see the animals. We never had any children. We used to go to the mosque often. I am Islamic. We moved to the UK and lived up Pellon but I have always missed my homeland of Africa and wish to return one day.

Since being at Lee Mount care home, we have done a few fundraisers initiated by me, and this has led to us raising nearly £5000 for overgate hospice.
